Since God
gave up His only Beloved Son, He will also freely and graciously give us all
things (Romans 8:32).
What would
your first response be? Perhaps it would be shock, relief or gratitude. By the
grace of God, that stranger survived. Your first emotional response might be
thankfulness.

Christ crucified is THE demonstration of God’s love for us
(Romans 5:8).
'The' is the one and only definite article in English. It refers to a particular, specific noun;
there is none other.
I have complete trust in
the One Who died for me!
Right there is the significance of believing in the heart
that Jesus died for us and was raised from the dead. In other words, conviction.
We are convinced beyond a shadow of any doubt that Jesus
loved us more than His own life. It is this conviction that causes trust in Him
to rise up.
Jesus was raised for our justification; our acquittal (Romans
4:25).
If Christ was not resurrected, it would mean He has not
served out the sentence and we are still guilty (1 Corinthians 15:12-19).
Belief in His death is imperative for our complete trust in
Him and His resurrection, vital to our faith.
Imagine
you are surrounded by a group of knife-wielding thugs. One of them was about to plunge the knife
deep into you when a stranger came in between and took the death blow.
Would you not want to befriend this stranger? Even if someone
knows you extremely well, it is rare for him to die for you. Your closest of
friends may only claim to dare to die for you (Romans 5:7). But honestly, who
would really do so?
The best candidates are parents and even then, not all
parents are willing to die for their children.
Let’s say you two eventually became friends, would you not
trust him more than anyone else in your life?
Jesus is that stranger.
