[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].

"Oh no! The bank account balance is depleting!""Fret not. My God shall supply my every need according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

"Oh shit! My health report is bad!"
"Worry not. By the stripe of Jesus I am healed."

Someone said, "You are a good-for-nothing bum who will never amount to anything!"
I say, "I am already a success because God is with me [Immanuel]."

Someone exclaimed, "How can you let that person get away with what was so unjustly done to you?"
I say, "God is my Vindicator, the lifter of my head. Vengeance is His. He shall fight my battles."

Someone mocked, "Stop kidding yourself. What you hope for will never come true!"
I say, "All things are possible with God. Those who place the hope in Christ Jesus shall never be disappointed."
