We get to know God by knowing the Bible.We get to; not have to.
The blessed Holy Spirit testifies to the written word of God.
We live by the word, and the blessed Holy Spirit goes to work according to the word.
Jeremiah 31:34 Amplified Bible (AMP)
And each man will no longer teach his neighbor and his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me [through personal experience], from the least of them to the greatest,” says the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness, and I will no longer remember their sin.”(A)
