John 4:23-24 and John 20:29 interpret Proverbs 3:5-6.

Satan has only ONE tactic to reinforce his deception; pointing us to what our naked eyeballs can see (Genesis 3:6-7).
But God’s counsel is that what can be seen is temporal but what cannot be seen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).
Jesus, God’s Word personified, told us that heaven and earth shall pass away but His word shall never pass away (Matthew 24:35, Luke 21:33).
In other words, God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18).
Therefore, we lean not on our own understanding (what our eyes can see, italics mine) but trust in Him [Whom we cannot see, italics mine] (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Blessed are those who believe without seeing (John 20:29).
True worshipers will worship God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23-24).
In other words, we worship Him Whom we cannot see but trust Him based on His Word for His Word is Truth (John 17:17).
This is but one of the many examples of how the Bible interprets the Bible in the book.
