Jesus said that He came to serve and not to be served (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45).
Our Lord Jesus did not come to demand justice from us. He came to satisfy the demand for justice.
Jesus came to serve justice by serving time in the prison of death, so to speak. His resurrection signified the completion of that prison sentence.
This is in relation to Him executing righteousness and justice on earth as we have just seen.
Jesus is also our heavenly High Priest Who is the Servant of the sanctuary (Hebrews 8:1-2).
