Tangible
blessings are wonderful. When we do not get what we asked God for, throwing
tantrums won’t help.
It was kindness to us but cruelty to the Lord!
It was kindness for wickedness. The just for the unjust (1 Peter 3:18).

We boast of Jesus’ obedience and faith.
The
sufferings being experienced by believers are the trials and tribulations that
Jesus Himself said we would surely encounter. But we can be steady and
undaunted because Jesus has overpowered Satan.
We stand
on His victory (John 16:33).
Satan is crafty and shrewd, and he continues to deceive and
seduce the entire world (Revelation 12:9).
Satan seduces with a thought and deceives with what the naked
eyeballs can see.
Material blessings do not serve as proof of God’s love.
The definitive proof of God’s love is Christ crucified
(Romans 5:8).
We
abide in God’s love for us.
When we are truly in love, we do not want to hide anything
from the one we love. More importantly, when someone loves us more than his own
life, we know we can trust him.
God the Father is like the father in the Parable of the
Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). Despite all our failings, we have never abdicated
our position in His heart. The day we
realize that we will cry like a baby.
Jesus was obedient even to the death on the Cross
(Philippians 2:8).
Forget not all His benefits or kindness; the benefits or
kindness of the Cross (Psalm 103:2).
When we are tempted by the devil to do something amiss,
ponder on the love of God. Joseph did that
when his boss’ wife wanted him (Genesis 39:9).
For
a woman to be the wife of a Pharaoh, she must have been ravishingly gorgeous!
It was not as though the woman was the “yours” type.
Mine and yours are shorthand terms commonly used by open
outcry floor traders and brokers, but which also may occur over telephone or
voice markets, that stand in for buying and selling, respectively. If that
trader decides to sell, they would say, "yours" meaning, "it's
yours."
In the context here, it means something unwanted.
Joseph tore himself away from her (Genesis 39:12)! It must
mean she had clung on to him like a koala bear.
I believe he had to run before the temptation got the better
of him.
We
are to be obedient to the obedience of Christ.
When pain is screaming in our bodies, we are obedient to
Jesus’ obedience to be scourged for our healing (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24).
When we have stumbled yet another time, we are obedient to Jesus’
obedience to free us from the penalty of sin.
Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God for us
(Romans 8:38-39).
