Noah's Ark Was A Type of Jesus

Noah’s Ark was a type of Jesus in the following ways:

1. The safety and well-being of Noah and his family were ensured when they entered the Ark. We are likewise when we enter into the saving faith of Jesus (John 10:9);
2. God Himself led the animals to the Ark. The Amplified version of Genesis 7:9 recorded that the animals came to the Ark motivated by God. Today, it is the goodness of the Lord that leads (motivates) men to repentance (Romans 2:4);
3. There was only one entrance to the Ark. Similarly, Jesus is the only Source of salvation (Acts 4:12);
4. The Ark protected the entire board of passengers from the raging flood. When we receive Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour, He Himself protects us from the evil of this world (John 16:33, 1 John 5:18); and
5. After Noah and his family entered the Ark, God Himself shut the door (Genesis 7:16). In the same vein, we have only this one life to enter into salvation through Christ crucified.

Jesus has been knocking on the door of your heart (Revelation 3:20).

Right NOW if you hear His voice in your heart to accept His invitation, do not harden your heart (Hebrews 3:15).

Jesus started His earthly ministry with the words, “Come to me” (Matthew 11:28-30). In Revelation 22:17, The Passion Translation, Jesus beckons with the word “Come”. That word is repeated five times and the number five represents grace. Grace Himself is beckoning you to come to Him with His loving arms wide open and fully stretched.

If I may sum up the essence of the Book of Matthew, it would be to “Come, take, and eat” from and of Him (Matthew 11:28; 26:26).

Unwrap the Gift
If you would like to “come, take, and eat” from Jesus, I invite you to make this confession:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself.

Today, I receive your gift of salvation.

I trust you as my personal Lord and Savior.

I believe you are the Son of God Who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day to acquit me from all charges.

Thank you for paying my sin debt and satisfying the demands of justice with Your Precious Blood.

In You, I now stand as the righteousness of God, meeting all His standards. Amen!”

Right this very moment, all of heaven rejoices over you (Luke 15:4-7; 22-24).

When the Lord has set you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36)!

Welcome to the big family of loving Daddy God!

This is as good as admitting that I have been deceived and led astray. I can’t tell the truth from a lie. Lord Jesus, You have come as a Man to show me what it is like to trust God even with Your life. Teach and lead me back onto the right path (Isaiah 53:6, Proverbs 8:5).
