Her Seed - An Exciting Plot

An Extract

This is an extract from the Book entitled “Her Seed – The amazing love of the extraordinary Father”.

An Exciting Plot

God the Father sent God the Son to wallop Satan. God the Son took on human form to be with the human race; hence God with us (Immanuel). He was called Jesus, which means “the LORD is salvation” (Matthew 1:21).

The promised Seed eventually defeated Satan and restored peace.

From the time the promised Seed was first announced, Satan, the master deceiver was all set to destroy Him (John 8:44). Satan had no inkling idea of who the Seed would be.  He created chaos and shot at random, beginning with Cain and Abel.  They were Adam’s first children. The first attempt to kill the promised Seed vis-a-vis the first murder case was recorded in Genesis 4:8. Cain killed his brother Abel over a fit of jealousy.

Satan continued with his “trial and error’ approach by trying to kill Joseph through the hands of his own siblings (Genesis 37:19-39). In the day of Moses, Satan tried to kill all Jewish male babies through the Egyptian king (Exodus 1:15-22). Subsequently, he attempted to kill David through king Saul (1 Samuel 19-24). Phew! That was close!

When the promised Seed came as a baby, Satan attempted to kill all male babies below two years of age through king Herod (Matthew 2:16).

Have you noticed something? Satan works through a figurehead, a lame copy of the principle of representation and identification.

This brings to mind Nimrod.  He was a biblical figure described as a king in the land of Shinar (Mesopotamia), the son of Cush, the son of Ham, son of Noah. (Genesis 10:8-9 and 1 Chronicles 1:10). Extra-biblical traditions have associated him with the Tower of Babel which led to his reputation as a king who was rebellious against God.

Can you guess who was the first to rebel against God (Ezekiel 28:15)?

Satan was the first and biggest rebel. He led one-third of angels to rebel against God (Revelation 12:4).  Thereafter, he influenced Eve and Adam to do likewise through deceit. He is still deceiving and seducing (2 Corinthians 11:3, Revelation 12:9). Satan’s figurehead will eventually rise to prominence as the Anti-Christ (Revelation 13).

Most readers might have already heard of the Holocaust. It was known as the Shoah, a genocide in German-occupied Europe during World War II (1941 to 1945). During that time, Nazi Germany, aided by local collaborators, systematically exterminated some six million Jews.  That was about two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population.

Antisemitism. I am of the view that it began with the Assyrian captivity around 740 B.C.

It seems Satan had always wanted to exert his control over the world through one earthly ruler. It is very tiring to try convincing billions of people individually.  This is just my observation from the account of Nimrod.

The word “shag” is the Singapore colloquial for “extremely tired”.  It has nothing to do with the regular meaning of the British colloquial equivalent. "Sibeh" is a Singaporean lingo that means "very". “Leh” is one of the four discourse particles that are mentioned at the end of sentences. The other three being “lah”, “lor”, and “meh”. Each one serves different purposes, depending on the tone, syntax, and context. In this case, it serves to add emphasis to the subject matter of fatigue. That was another Singlish lesson.

Satan could not pinpoint the promised Seed. Yet, when Satan thought he had pinned the Savior on the Cross, it was him who was nailed to it.   It is horrifying to see how Satan could have deceived so many to be his instruments of vengeance against God.

 When we fast forward the movie to the Book of Revelation, there will be one great leader that will rise to power.  He will speak blasphemies against God, His name and His tabernacle, and those who live in heaven. The unconverted ones, or unbelieving, will be deceived into believing him (Revelation 13).

Unwrap the Gift

If you have not received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, I invite you to make this confession:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself.   Today, I receive your gift of salvation.   I trust you as my personal Lord and Savior.   I believe you are the Son of God Who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day to acquit me from all charges.   Thank you for paying my sin debt and satisfying the demands of justice with Your Precious Blood.   In You, I now stand as the righteousness of God, meeting all His standards. Amen!”

Right this very moment, all of heaven rejoices over you (Luke 15:4-7; 22-24).

When the Lord has set you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36)!

Welcome to the big family of loving Daddy God!

This is as good as admitting that I have been deceived and led astray. I can’t tell the truth from a lie. Lord Jesus, You have come as a Man to show me what it is like to trust God even with Your life.  Teach and lead me back onto the right path (Isaiah 53:6, Proverbs 8:5).

Grace

I am thankful for the grace of God that is upon this nation.

I am a Singaporean.

In Singapore, we celebrate and embrace our diversity of backgrounds, languages, and beliefs.

I have peppered this book with some seasoning of Singlish and added a dash of the Singaporean culture. If you like Singaporean cuisine, this will serve as an added attraction. You will also get to learn some Singlish, Malay, Hokkien, Cantonese, and Mandarin along the way. If I speak Tamil, I would have definitely included more of it. வணக்கம் Vaṇakkam (Hello).

Song lyrics that are deemed appropriate to the respective portions of this book have also been included. The titles of the songs are appended accordingly and you can YouTube it.

Staying true to the belief that a picture speaks a thousand words, graphics have also been included in the unfolding pages. They serve to provide some comic relief.

In summary, this book will appeal to your eyes, ears, heart, mind, and most importantly, your soul.    Okay. All set liao.   Hope you will find this book shiok.

The general meaning of the word "liao" can be roughly interpreted as "already."

The word “shiok” means very enjoyable or pleasing (used as a term of general approval). Singlish wan shui!

Long live Singlish!    Singlish wan shui! 万岁! Long live Singlish!

Exciting Plot

As you immerse in the scriptures presented in this book, you will be drawn into an exciting and intriguing plot interwoven in fabrics of evil, mystery, murder, victory, love and much more. It is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Brace yourself for an exciting time in the word! Get to see Jesus hidden in the Old Testament and have a taste of the Emmaus experience.

Witness for yourself the salvation plan of God from before antiquity to the present Church Age that we live in. Marvel at the profound wisdom of the triune God as He obscured the identity of the promised Seed from the frustrated master villain, who played the “hide-and-seek” game over thousands of years.

The Haman versus Mordecai saga in the Book of Esther was a foreshadowing of Satan’s humiliating defeat (Esther 7:10). Satan knew that the promised Seed would come from the Jews but he did not know who exactly. This probably explains the disproportionate hatred towards the Jews in general. He tried to kill the promised Seed by attempting to exterminate the entire Jewish race. However, God worked behind the scene to thwart Satan’s sinister attempt and turned the table against him. It was a demonstration of God’s signature move; beating Satan at his own game! The Jews were eventually saved from complete decimation. Today, this significant victory is celebrated as the Festival of Purim in Israel.

This is just an appetizer before the main course. So, tighten your spiritual seat belt and dive right into this exhilarating ride through the passage of time as we unravel one of the greatest biblical mysteries since time immemorial.

Objective

The sole objective of this book is to attempt to make you salivate for the Word of God.   This is motivated by 1 Peter 2:2-3.

We will follow the lead of the foundation and reference scriptures all the way through to the New Testament. In the course of this journey, we will be making many interesting observations from scriptures.

For example:
1. God’s signature move;
2. The crime Adam committed;
3. The identity of the missing man in the account of the adulterous woman brought before Jesus.
4. The principle of representation and identification;
5. The significance of the bruising of the serpent’s head and the heel of the Seed;
6. The many attempts by Satan to exterminate the promised Seed;
7. How Chinese martial arts is akin to the concept of cornerstone;
8. How God served poetic justice on Satan;
9. How it is all about Jesus’ faith in and obedience to God and not ours;
10. How Jabez and Joseph were types of Jesus;
11. How low a level God the Son condescended as Jesus the Man;
12. How the Bible interprets the Bible;
13. How the Hokkien phrase “Mai Tu lee yell”, encapsulates the meaning of Ephesians 5:16;
14. How the righteous of God are beneficiaries of a recession.

 These are just some examples of the many observations that we will be making in this book.
