To the
centurion, he believed Jesus only need to speak the word and his servant would

Some
may argue that grace is a licence to sin (to be deceived and led astray).
But we
do not need a licence to be deceived. We
only need to disregard the counsel of God to be deceived and led astray.
To put
it bluntly, only the gullible (easily tricked or fooled) can be deceived
(Proverbs 8:5).
I have curry. I have apple.
We
can tell a fake from the real only when we have the genuine one for reference. We
expose Satan’s deceit with the Word. Therefore, unless we read the Word for
ourselves, we are in danger of being deceived (2 Corinthians 11:3).
Believers have fallen out with each other over how the Word
has been applied in their respective lives.
I like how Bruce Lee used the analogy of the fluidity of
water to describe the essence of martial arts. This can be applied to how the
Word of God works.
If one is in the shape of a triangle, the Word of God will be
triangular to that one. When another is in the shape of a circle, the Word of
God will be round to that other one.
To the woman with the issue of the blood, she believed she
would be healed by just touching Jesus’ robe. She was healed (Matthew 9:21).
It was health personified that drove out the sickness and
infirmity. Be it done unto you according to your faith (Matthew 9:29).
God
created each individual unique and He will deal with each one uniquely.
What a spectacle it would be should the woman and the
centurion argue over who was right with regards to receiving healing from
Jesus!
Based on their respective experience, both would be
right. But to an audience trying to
receive healing from Jesus, it would be confusion galore.
